Book direct
Camp in our peaceful and beautiful field in the South Downs National Park. With only a few spots allowed at any one time, there is plenty of space for you to decide where to pitch your tent away from any others. There is access to fresh water and a hand made compost loos and showers, a camp kitchen, mess tent and fire pit. There is no electricity so you can enjoy a wonderful wild camping experience.
The space
Fox Camp is a huge free range family camping area at the far corner of our field - perfect for individual family trips or groups of friends wanting to camp together. Set far away from the adult campers and our glampers, Fox allows families the space to play a game of cricket, rounders or swing ball without disturbing other guests. Away from their electronics, children will make new friends as they build dens in the woods or play in the stream. Each pitch will is designed for groups with children and up to 6 guests, staying in a single tent are included in the price. Fox Camp is self contained and has its own hand-built compost loos, showers, field kitchen, stone fire pit and mess tent (incase it rains!).

Guest access
Fox Camp is located in the very far left hand corner of our field, surrounded by farmland and woodland. Parking is a short walk away and wheelbarrows are provided to transport your gear from the car park to the Camp, however, you can book an ATV baggage transfer which can make life a lot easier and is highly recommended!
Neighborhood
Originally a hunting lodge for King Charles II, Lower Lodge Farm's 3,000 acres of rolling fields and ancient woodland are interlaced with ponds and brooks that feed the River Lod. Recognised as a corridor of environmental significance, it is home to a diverse collection of flora and fauna including; cuckoos, kingfishers, deer, badgers, rare orchids, mistletoe and, if you're lucky, even multicoloured rabbits. Amongst the farm's many treasures are woodland walks, streams bristling with fish, ancient woodland clearings and the ruins of an iron forge from the earliest days of the industrial revolution. To cap it all, amidst all this beauty is the privately owned 12th century Shulbrede Priory where Parry wrote the score for Jerusalem. From the comfort and tranquillity of your pitch you too will share, understand, and be at one with the "green and pleasant land" that inspired the stirring music for Jerusalem, the nation's favourite hymn.
Getting around
Onsite parking is available to all guests and there are taxis at the Haslemere train station (48 mins from Waterloo) for guests arriving by train. There are some wonderful walking trails on the farm, some of which are circular routes to our local pubs! We are also just off the King Alfreds Way long distance off-road cycle path and have lots of off-road biking trails on site if you fancy bringing bikes.
Other things to note
Night Pastures Camping is on a working family farm so please supervise children and respect the Country Code at all times. If you're arriving by train, it's advisable to get your shopping done in advance, as nearest shop to the farm is 10 minutes drive. There are streams on both sides of the Night Pastures site so please be mindful of this if you are travelling with small children. There is no WiFi or electricity on site and to protect the experience for all, we have a strict 10pm curfew
