Get outside, breathe fresh air and relax in Badger Camp. What better way to reconnect than to take a few days away from the houses we've been chained to for the last year and stay in a secluded hideaway. Old fashioned Enid Blyton style fun with no distractions from modern life... just what the doctor ordered!

The space

Badger Camp is in a secluded spot far away from all our other guests. It is very private, surrounded by 3,000 acres of farmland and woodland. Badger is completely self sufficient, having its own camp kitchen, undercover dining area, stone fire pit and bathrooms. Pitches aren't marked out so you can find the perfect spot for you within the large Badger Camp area.

Guest access

Badger is located in the top right hand corner of our 26ha large yurt field. Parking is a short walk, accessed via a secret cut-through the woods. Wheelbarrows are provided to transport your gear from the car park to the site.

Neighborhood

Originally a hunting lodge for King Charles II, Lower Lodge Farm's 3,000 acres of rolling fields and ancient woodland are interlaced with ponds and brooks that feed the River Lod. Recognised as a corridor of environmental significance, it is home to a diverse collection of flora and fauna including; cuckoos, kingfishers, deer, badgers, rare orchids, mistletoe and, if you're lucky, even multicoloured rabbits. Amongst the farm's many treasures are woodland walks, streams bristling with fish, ancient woodland clearings and the ruins of an iron forge from the earliest days of the industrial revolution. To cap it all, amidst all this beauty is the privately owned 12th century Shulbrede Priory where Parry wrote the score for Jerusalem. From the comfort and tranquillity of your pitch you too will share, understand, and be at one with the "green and pleasant land" that inspired the stirring music for Jerusalem, the nation's favourite hymn.

Getting around

Onsite parking is available to all guests and there are taxis at the Haslemere train station (48 mins from Waterloo) for guests arriving by train. It is possible to walk from Liphook station, cross country (4 miles). Sadly, there are no local busses to Night Pastures.

Other things to note

Night Pastures Camping is on a working family farm so please respect the Country Code at all times. If you're arriving by train, it's advisable to get your shopping done in advance, as nearest shop to the farm is 10 minutes drive. There is no WiFi or electricity on site and to protect the experience for all, we have a strict 10pm curfew
