Yoga and nutrition for preventing and managing osteoporosis with Angela Thompson, Yoga Teacher and Dee French, Nutritional Therapist
Monday 9th May from 11.30-2.30pm
3 hour workshop incorporating gentle yoga, relaxation and nutritional advice at the beautiful Night Pastures Yurt. Yoga will be performed seated or standing, using a chair for support if required.
No experience of yoga necessary.
- We will investigate ways to maintain and encourage strong bone formation using exercise and diet.
- We will also look at ways to improve balance and thereby minimise risks of falling and associated risks of fracture.
- You will receive a workbook incorporating many of the ideas that we cover.
- Lunch, included, will be a light vegetarian meal including ingredients vital for strong bones. (Please let me know if you have any food intolerances)

Dee French
Dee qualified 7 years ago as a Nutritional Therapist from the College of Naturopathic Medicine and has been practising ever since. She has several clients with osteoporosis and osteopenia and understands how diet and lifestyle can impact these diseases. She also qualified 20 years ago as an aerobics instructor and knows how important exercise and movement are for health and wellbeing. Angela Thompson
Angela has been practising yoga for over 25 years having started taking classes with the wonderful Monette Goetinck in Los Angeles (who was 85 years old at the time). She qualified as a teacher in 2014 with Seasonal Yoga Teacher Training. She now teaches several gentle chair yoga classes a week in and around Godalming, Haslemere, Churt and Petersfield.
